I might be an accountant by trade, but I’ve got a whole lotta words to share with you around here! You’ll find everything from treasured family recipes to lettering tutorials, from my preferred pens and paintbrushes to the must-sees in my home sweet Waco, Texas.
Pull up a seat and stay a while, friend! I’m so glad you’re here.
I’m going to be honest with you, friends. 2018 looks a little messy and hazy still. The start of a new month, and certainly a new year, get me all giddy and hopeful, and this January 1 is no exception. But I have a feeling that there is still some major work to be done on my white knuckles clinging to my lofty goals and plans for the year ahead.
All of the goals I’ve lined up for 2018 excite me and really do matter, but they lack any sense of continuity and simplicity (which is especially ironic given that one of my goals is to simplify). What I’m laying before you today is imperfect and complicated, and that’s okay. Welcome to the real world, friends. And with that…
So in January…
So here we go! My “encouraging words” this month are from Lara Casey: “You cannot do it all and do it all well.” I’ve totally ignored that advice as I’ve put together my goals, so things are going to fall off, and that’s okay. Grace abounds. Stick around for the January recap at the end of the month and see just how much grace was needed!
I would love to hear your goals for the year if you want to share in the comments below!
